Football: Panthers' game at Greensboro moved to Thursday ahead of Hurricane Matthew

The LaGrange-Greensboro football game for Saturday has been moved up to Thursday. The change was made in anticipation of the expected impact of Hurricane Matthew on the Greensboro, N.C. area beginning Friday. Kickoff for Thursday is 7 p.m. EDT.

This marks the second straight year weather has forced a game change. Last season's the Averett game in Danville, Va. was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Panthers are currently 2-2, while The Pride is 1-3. Both teams come into the USA South game with 0-1 conference records. LC won last year's meeting 27-25 in Callaway Stadium.

After next week's game at Huntingdon, the Panthers will return for Homecoming 2016 on Oct. 22 against Ferrum.
