Football: Clinton, Sanders play in Hansen Bowl All-Star Game

LaGrange College seniors Josh Clinton and Kyle Sanders recently played in the 2012 Hansen Bowl All-Star Game. The game was held at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va.

The game features seniors from NCAA FCS, Division II, Division III and NAIA schools. The 153 participating players were divided into two teams; the Pony Express and the River Boats. Clinton and Sanders were on the Pony Express team. The game reunited Clinton and Sanders with players from former opponents Apprentice, Huntingdon, North Greenville, Shorter and Wesley.

"It was good to meet guys we had played against over the last four years," Sanders said. "We had been on opposite sides of the ball and we were getting a chance to play together."

Both players played on the Pony Express defense. Clinton played at defensive back and Sanders on the defensive line. They each got to play 25 snaps in the game and both recorded a tackle.
