2016-17 Review/Softball: Panthers place three on USA South All-Conference, West Division teams

LaGrange placed three players on the USA South All-Conference and West Division teams as announced by the conference office.

Sophomore catcher Emily Barrs was selected to the All-Conference first team. She was joined by freshmen McKenzie Brunel and Katelin Richardson on the West Division first team. 

Barrs led the Panthers in eight offensive categories during the 2017 season. She batted .469 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs. Barrs scored 21 runs, had an on-base percentage of .518 and a slugging percentage of .796. She led the conference in slugging percentage and was second in batting average.

Brunel, an outfielder, wass second on the team with a .368 batting average. She led the team with 12 stolen bases. Richardson made the team as a utility player. She batted .325 and was second on the team with nine doubles.
