2016-17 Review/Football: Marsalis Jackson selected to USA South All-Conference

Senior wide receiver Marsalis Jackson was selected to the USA South All-Conference second team as announced by the conference office. It is the second time Jackson has earned All-Conference honors.

During the 2016 season, Jackson led the team for the third time in four years with 619 receiving yards. He had 43 receptions and scored six touchdowns. He tied for fifth in the USA South in receptions and was sixth in receiving yards. Jackson had a season-high 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a 35-26 win at Greensboro.

Jackson finished his career as the school's all-time receiving yards leader with 2,378 and touchdowns scored receiving and overall with 27. He is third on the career list with 147 catches.

 As a freshman, Jackson was the USA South Offensive Rookie of the Year after setting school records with 902 receiving yards and 12 TD catches.

Jackson and fellow senior Lavell Meeks played in the FCS National Bowl and the D3 Senior Classic all-star games after the 2016 season.
