2016-17 Review/Women's Soccer: Panthers get goals from three players in win against Millsaps

LaGrange blanked Millsaps 3-0 in a non-conference match at the Sports Blast Soccer Complex in Birmingham, Alabama on Oct. 12.

LaGrange had three players score in the match. Taylor Poole got her team-leading fourth goal of the season, while Sydney Aronson added her third and Rachel Jenkins her second.

The Panthers outshot the Majors (1-11-1) 19-10. Goalkeepers Jesse Grogan and DeAundra Green needed to make only three saves to preserve the shutout.

Jenkins got the Panthers going in the first half. After having an earlier shot go off the post, she took a cross from Ashley Jacobson, then dribbled past several defenders before beating the goalkeeper to the near post for the goal. The Panthers took the 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Panthers added to their lead three minutes into the second half. Taylor Poole headed in Paige Smyth's cross to make it 2-0.

Aronson closed out the scoring in the 56th minute. Jenkins served in a corner kick and when the ball was misplayed in front of the goal, Aronson was their to clean it for the 3-0 final.
