2015-16 in Review: Connor Blair named USA South Football Special Teams Player of the Week

Sophomore quarterback/punter Connor Blair is the USA South Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 20. He is the first Panther quarterback to be named to the weekly honor.

Blair punted four times for a 48.5 yard average in the Panthers' game against Ave Maria. The average was the second highest by a Panther in a game and his career-long punt of 64 yards ties for the second longest. He also had two punts downed inside the 10-yard line.

Blair passed for 400 yards and three touchdowns in the game. During the 2015 season, he threw for 2,644 yards and 19 touchdowns and led the USA South with 293.8 yards passing per game and second in passing yards.
